Addiction Medications

We use several medications to aid in recovery from addiction. In particular, buprenorphine (Suboxone or Sublocade) and naltrexone (Vivitrol) are two medications used to help in treatment of substance use disorders. Learn more about these treatments below.

Buprenorphine is a partial opioid agonist sold under the brand-names Suboxone, Zubsolv, Butrans, and Sublocade.  It is used as a treatment for opioid use disorder with very significant effects in improving relapse rates.

Naltrexone (Vivitrol) is an opioid antagonist medication used as a tablet or a monthly injection.  This medication can help prevent relapse in opioid use disorder and alcohol use disorder.
