Anxiety

Anxiety is our body's normal response to stress, and it helps us in times of danger.

Anxiety disorders arise when our levels of anxiety or fear become excessive and interfere with our normal functioning. These disorders are very common, affecting at least 30% of the population at some point in their lives.

Fortunately, there are many effective treatments for anxiety, including a variety of psychotherapy techniques and medications.

Addiction

Substance addiction is a complex disorder characterized by compulsive drug or alcohol use. This typically leads to significant disruptions in daily living and devastating effects on relationships and health.

Similar types of addictions can occur with other behaviors such as gambling, sex, and others.

We provide addiction treatment options that vary depending on the condition and patient needs.

Depression

Depression strikes millions of people each year and often recurs. Some of the common symptoms – sadness, low energy, loss of motivation, fatigue, and tearfulness – can be painful and debilitating.  In addition, suicidal thinking can occur, creating a risk of death.

Numerous effective treatments are available, but an individual's responsiveness to each type of treatment may depends on their condition and medical history. Thus, each person’s treatment plan is developed based on their individual needs.

Bipolar Disorder

Although less common than Major Depressive Disorder, Bipolar Disorder can be equally as devastating. This condition causes extreme shifts in a person's mood, typically between feelings of depression and euphoria. These dramatic mood variations can cause behavior changes that are frustrating and dangerous.

Numerous effective treatments are available, but an individual's responsiveness to each type of treatment may depends on their condition and medical history. Thus, each person’s treatment plan is developed based on their individual needs.

Ketamine and Esketamine

Ketamine, an anesthetic medication, is now used as a cutting-edge treatment for depression and other conditions. Ketamine works through a different mechanism than typical antidepressants, providing far more rapid results than traditional treatments.

Esketamine (Spravato™) is chemically related to ketamine, but is given intranasally, and must be administered and monitored in an approved clinic. Treatment requires 2 hours of observation in the clinic following each administration.
